22 - 23 - 24 th of April, 2008 Kiev, gallery "Lavra", Lavrskaja alley, 17 1-st intellectual international festival-performance "Games in Nabokov" "Games in Nabokov" - the culmination of the Days of Nabokov in Kiev was devoted to the 110th anniversary from the date of a birth of the writer Vladimir Nabokov. This three-day performance-festival within the limits of global festival "The Invitation to Laura" was one of parts of the extensive "Nabokov programs": chess tournament "Nabokov's Memorial", an art exhibition "Lolita's Smile", retrospective shows of products under Nabokov's books, non-stop demonstration of a documentary film "Nabokov's Coast", and a creative evening by Ilya Lajnera, the director of one of seven documentary films "Other coast" which has received TEFFI.

Opening of the "Enlightenment" project On a coffee table lays timber, turned from an integral wood, with the built laser and the mechanism of rotation. All floor strewed with sawdust. Installation symbolizes a labour-consuming path of a scientific idea to a way of mechanical record of events. Rustle of the finishing plate in synthesis with volumetric laser abstraction have finished smoothly a plot of festival. The concert of chamber music has filled with sounds one of workshops of "Lavra' gallery, having emotionally prepared the audience to opening of the "Enlightenment" project. The dark closing room with a dynamic laser projection to the white screen personifies comprehension of an outcome and long silence. In the center of a room is a sterile white armchair for participation of audience in interactive performance.

Performance-festival "Games in Nabokov" Art-experiment of the Brigade of Creative Initiatives "ZixZixOne" which has gathered new generation of theatre-goers, artists, poets and musicians under a roof of "Lavra" gallery, to hand down the actual problems expressed in works of Nabokov to the contemporary. "Games in Nabokov" - event which for the first time has displayed a theme of Nabokov in a format of performance-festival and has called attention of the Ukrainian and international audience to the person of the known writer.
